About the Area
The region of Benissa is split into two main areas; a traditional white walled town and 4 km of stunning coastline with beautiful rocky coves and sandy beaches perfect for diving and sailing. The most popular of the beaches is the sandy beach of Fustera, with its crystal blue waters, restaurants, water sports and a play area for children.
Benissa also has a beautiful marina “Les Basetes”, located on the border with Calpe, with many bustling bars, restaurants, a sailing school and a diving centre.
Away from the coastline you can drink coffee in the quaint town of Benissa, with it’s traditional white walled town houses, weekly Saturday market and numerous fiestas throughout the year it offers a taste of the “real” Spain. In Benissa town you will find several supermarkets, pharmacies, two primary schools and a secondary school and a very good medical centre.
For those looking for a break from relaxing in the sunshine – Benissa town also has a public gymnasium offering a range of activities for all including an indoor swimming pool, gym, athletics track, several indoor/outdoor soccer courts and even a mountain climbing school for the more intrepid.
